Princess Auguste o Bavarie (Auguste Amalie Ludovika Georgia; 21 Juin 1788 – 13 Mey 1851) was the seicont child an eldest daughter o Maximilian I Joseph o Bavarie an Princess Auguste Wilhelmine o Hesse-Darmstadt. Bi marriage, she wis a French Princess.

Auguste Amelie o Bavarie wis the auldest daughter o Maximilian I Joseph o Bavarie an Wilhelmine o Hesse-Darmstadt. She lost her mither in 1795 from lung problems an her faither remairit Karoline o Baden, who imposed on her husband's coort a seriousness that some thought was beneficial. At first, Auguste did not like her stepmither like her younger siblings Karl Theodore an Charlotte did, as she was still attached tae her late mither, but Karoline an Auguste’s relationship improved over time.

In 1795, at the daith o his aulder brither, her faither Maximilian became reigning duke o Zweibrücken but his States were occupied bi the troops o the young First French Republic. In 1799, at the daith o his distant cousin Karl Theodore, Maximilian became coont-elector Palatine of the Rhine an Duke-Elector o Bavarie under the name o Maximilian III.

On 14 January 1806 in Munich, Auguste mairit Eugène de Beauharnais, anly son o Josephine de Beauharnais an Alexandre, vicomte de Beauharnais an stepson o Napoleon. In return, Napoleon raised Bavaria from a state tae a Kinrick. Although a diplomatic mairiage, this union would turn out tae be a happy one.
