Princess Adélaïde o Orléans (Eugène Adélaïde Louise; 23 August 1777 - 31 December 1847) wis one of the twin daughters o Philippe Égalité an his wife Louise Marie Adélaïde de Bourbon. Adélaïde received painting lessons frae Pierre Joseph Redouté and produced some highly-regarded botanical studies as a result. During the reign o her elder brother Louis Philippe I Adélaïde would become one of his personal advisors. She wis the only surviving sister o the future keeng. During her brother's reign she would be known as Madame Adélaïde. An wis created a Princess o Orléans, with the style o Ryal Highness.

Adélaïde wis born at the Palais Royal in Paris an wis a twin (her sister would die in 1782) in childhood she wis known as Mademoiselle d'Orléans, an her godparents were Keeng Louis XVI an Queen Marie Antoinette.
