In ecology, predation is a biological interaction whaur a predator (an organism that is huntin) feeds on its prey (the organism that is attacked).[1] Predators mey or mey not kill thair prey prior tae feedin on them, but the act o predation eften results in the daith o its prey an the eventual absorption o the prey's tissue through consumption.[2]
