Paros (Greek: Πάρος; Venetian: Paro) is a Greek island in the central Aegean Sea. Ane o the Cyclades island group, it lies tae the wast o Naxos, frae which it is separatit bi a channel aboot 8 kilometres (5 miles) wide. It lies approximately 150 km (93 miles) sooth-east o Piraeus. The Municipality o Paros includes numerous uninhabitit offshore islets totalin 196.308 square kilometres (75.795 sq mi) o laund. Its nearest neighbour is the municipality o Antiparos, which lies tae its soothwast.
