The neon tetra (Paracheirodon innesi) is a freshwatter fish o the characin faimily (faimily Characidae) o order Characiformes. The type species o its genus, it is native tae blackwatter or clearwatter streams in sootheastren Colombie, eastren Peru, an wastren Brazil, includin the tributaries o the Solimões whaur the watter is atween 20 an 26°C (68 an 79°F).[2] It is nae foond in the whitewatter rivers o Andean origin.
