Nestos (Greek: Νέστος) is a municipality in the Kavala regional unit, East Macedonie an Thrace, Greece. The seat o the municipality is the toun Chrysoupoli.[2] It was named after the river Nestos.

[eedit | edit soorce]The municipality Nestos wis formit at the 2011 local govrenment reform bi the merger o the follaein 3 umwhile municipalities, that became municipal units:[2]
Province
[eedit | edit soorce]The province o Nestos (Greek: Επαρχία Νέστου) wis ane o the provinces o the Kavala Prefectur. It haed the same territory as the present municipality.[3] It was abolished in 2006.
