An ethnic Hungarian, she wis born an raised in Novi Sad, SFR Yugoslavie. She acame a naituralised American ceetizen in 1994 an an aa received Hungarian ceetizenship in June 2007.[2][3] She wan nine Grand Slam singles teetles, aicht o them while a ceetizen o Yugoslavie an the final as a ceetizen o Unitit States o Americae. In 1990, Seles acame the youngest-ever French Open champion at the age o 16. She went on tae win aicht Grand Slam singles teetles afore her 20t birthday an wis the year-end Warld No. 1 in 1991 an 1992.
