The Misagh 1 (also Mithaq-1, etc.) is an Iranian man-portable surface-tae-air missile. It wis developed by the Shahid Kazemi Industrial Complex in Tehran. It is a variant or reverse-engineerit clone of the Cheenese QW-1 Vanguard missile seestem and is comparable tae the Soviet SA-16 Gimlet missile. It is uised by Iran and haes been exportit tae Hezbollah in Lebanon and tae the Popular Mobilization Forces in Iraq and tae Sirie as well.

The MANPADS wis supplementit by the newer Misagh-2 missile system.

Identifeecation[eedit | eedit soorce]

Veesually, the Misagh-1 is virtually indistinguishable frae the QW-1 it is cloned frae, other QW-series missiles, the Misagh-2 upgrade, and Pakistan's Anza missiles.[1]
