Rock wi mica

The mica group o sheet silicate (phyllosilicate) minerals includes several closely relatit materials havin close tae perfect basal cleavage. Aw are monoclinic, wi a tendency taewards pseudohexagonal crystals, an are similar in chemical composeetion. The nearly perfect cleavage, which is the maist prominent characteristic o mica, is explained bi the hexagonal sheet-like arrangement o its atoms.

The wird "mica" is derived frae the Laitin wird mica, meanin "a crumb", an probably influenced bi micare, tae glitter.[1]
