Messier 2 or M2 (an aa designatit NGC 7089) is a globular cluster in the constellation Aquarius, five degrees north o the starn Beta Aquarii. It wis discovered bi Jean-Dominique Maraldi in 1746, an is ane o the lairgest kent globular clusters.
