Maria Francisca o Savoy (Marie Françoise Élisabeth; 21 Juin 1646 – 27 December 1683) wis twice queen consort o Portugal as the wife o twa Portuguese keengs: Afonso VI o Portugal an Peter II o Portugal. She wis also the sister o Marie Jeanne o Savoy, Duchess o Savoy an thus aunt o the future Keeng Victor Amadeus II o Sardinie.

She first became queen o Portugal at the age of 20 on the day o her mairriage tae Afonso VI; because the mairriage wis niver consummated, she was able to obtain an annulment. On 28 Mairch 1668, she married Afonso's brother, the Infante Peter, Duke o Beja, who was appointed Prince Pegent the same year due to Afonso's perceived incompetence. Maria Francisca became queen of Portugal for the second time when Peter succeeded his brither as Peter II in 1683 but died herself later that year.
Second mairriage[eedit | eedit soorce]
Months after her annulment, Maria Francisca married the Infante Peter, now the Prince Regent o Portugal. In 1669 she gave birth tae a daughter, Isabel Luísa Josefa, Princess o Beira. The Braganza dynasty was at the brink o extinction, an Peter needed heirs, yet Maria Francisca wis unable tae produce further childer.
