Maria Cristina o Austrick (Maria Christina Désirée Henriette Felicitas Rainiera; 21 Julie 1858 – 6 Februar 1929) was the second wife o King Alfonso XII o Spain. She wis regent during the vacancy o the throne atween her husband's daith an her son's birth, and during the minority o their son, Alfonso XIII, atween 1885 an 1902. She wis baptised Maria Christina but wis kent in Spain as Maria Cristina.
