Laguna (PSGC: 035400000), offeecially kent as the Province of Laguna (Tagalog: Lalawigan ng Laguna), is a province o the Philippines foond in the CALABARZON region in Luzon. It hugs the soothren shores o Laguna de Bay, the lairgest loch in the kintra. The ceety wi the heichest population (based on 2010 census) is Calamba, while the least populatit is the Municipality o Famy.[7]
Laguna is notable as the birthplace o Jose Rizal, the kintra's naitional hero. Laguna lees on the soothren shores o Laguna de Bay, the lairgest loch in the kintra. On the soothren border o the province are Munt. Makiling an Mt. Banáhaw, baith are lang dormant volcanoes, but still sources o geothermal energy. Mt. Makiling is popular for the numerous hot spring resorts that are foond on its slopes. Pagsanjan Falls, is a popular watterfaw that tumbles doun a deep gorge in the hills.
The eastren portion o Laguna straddles the soothmaist portions o the Sierra Madre muntain range.
