The Kuril Islands or Kurile Islands (Roushie: Кури́льские острова́; Japanese: Kuriru rettō (クリル列島?, "Kuril Islands") or Chishima rettō (千島列島?, "Chishima Islands")), in Roushie's Sakhalin Oblast region, form a volcanic airchipelago that stretches approximately 1,300 km (810 mi) northeast frae Hokkaido, Japan, tae Kamchatka, Roushie, separatin the Sea o Okhotsk frae the North Paceefic Ocean.
