Kebnekaise (Swadish pronunciation: [kɛbnɛ²kajsɛ];[3] from Sami Giebmegáisi or Giebnegáisi, "Cauldron Crest") is the heichest moontain in Swaden. The Kebnekaise massif, which is pairt o the Scandinavie Moontains, haes twa main peaks. The glaciatit soothren peak uised tae be the heichest at 2,120 metres (6,960 ft) abuin sea level, but haes shrunk bi 24 meters durin the last 50 years, makin the northren icefree peak at 2,096.8 metres (6,879 ft) the heichest.[1] Kebnekaise lies in Swedish Lapland, aboot 150 kilometres (93 mi) north o the Arctic Circle an wast o Kiruna near the Kungsleden hikin trail atween Abisko an Hemavan.
