Jean Baptiste Donatien de Vimeur, Coont o Rochambeau (1 Julie 1725 – 10 Mey 1807) wis a French nobleman an general who played a major role in helping the Thirteen Colonies win independence during the American Revolution. During this time, he served as commander-in-chief o the French Expeditionary Force that embarked frae Fraunce in order to help the American Continental Airmy fight against Breetish forces. He wis creatit a Marshal o Fraunce in 1791 bi Louis XVI an cried the Maréchal de Rochambeau.
