Isma'ilism

Ismāʿīlism (Arabic: الإسماعيليةal-Ismāʿīliyya; Persie: اسماعیلیان‎; Kurdish: Ismaili, Esmāʿiliyān) is a branch o Shia Islam whose adherents are an aa kent as Seveners. The Ismāʿīlī (/ˌɪsmˈɪli/[1]) get thair name frae thair acceptance o Isma'il ibn Jafar as the appyntit spiritual successor (Imām) tae Ja'far al-Sadiq, whaurin thay differ frae the Twelvers, who accept Musa al-Kadhim, younger brither o Isma'il, as the true Imām.[2]
