Interphase is the phase o the cell cycle in that a teepical cell spends maist o its life. In this phase, the cell copies its DNA in preparation for mitosis.[1] Interphase is the 'daily leevin' or metabolic phase o the cell, in that the cell obteens nutrients an metabolises them, growes, reads its DNA, an conducts ither "normal" cell functions.[1]
