New Warld vulturs, such as the Californie condor, wur placed incertae sedis within the class Aves till the recogneetion o the new order Cathartiformes.

Incertae sedis (Laitin for "o uncertain placement")[1] is a term uised for a taxonomic group whaur its broader relationships are unkent or undefined.[2]
