Imre Kertész (Hungarian: [ˈimrɛ ˈkɛrteːs]); 9 November 1929 – 31 Mairch 2016) wis a Hungarian author, Holocaust concentration camp survivor, an recipient o the 2002 Nobel Prize in Leeteratur, "for writin that upholds the fragile experience o the individual against the barbaric arbitrariness o history".[3]
