Hugh MacDiarmid is the pen name o Christopher Murray Grieve (11 August 1892, Langholm – 9 September 1978, Edinburgh), a famous Scots poet o the 20t century. He wis instrumental in creatin a Scots version o modrenism. He scrieved baith in Inglis an in literarie Scots.
