The 'Hoose of Orléans was a French noble and royal family. It descends from Keeng Louis XIV o Fraunce and his only brother Philippe o Fraunce, Duke o Orléans. After the death of Philippe in 1701, the Dukes o Orléans would have the rank o Prince du Sang (Prince o the blood) The families main traditional home was the Palais Royal in Paris, despite having several other residences around the capital. The family later became very powerful during the reign of Louis Philippe I. He ruled France under the title "King o the French". The king successfully married his children into other royal families o Europe.
