The Hoose o La Tour d'Auvergne were a French nble faimilie. They had great power and wealth during the 17t an 18t century in Fraunce. The family claimed to rule the Duchy o Bouillon frae the year 1456. The duchy wis later ceded tae Fraunce on 26 October 1795. The family haed apartments at the Pailace o Versailles and a grand tounhoose in Paris (now destroyed). Louis de Rouvroy, Duke o Saint Simon described them aa ane o the most arrogant faimilies in Fraunce. after the French Revolution the duchy wis confiscated an Léopold wis the last Duke o Bouillon, and following the Napoleonic Wars the duchy wis absorbed intae the Grand Duchy o Luxembourg.
