Heydar Aliyev Internaitional Airport (Azerbaijani: Heydər Əliyev adına Beynəlxalq Hava Limanı; IATA: GYD[3]ICAO: UBBB), is a internaitional airport in Azerbaijan, locatit 20 km northeast o Baku. In 2019, the airport handled nearly 4,730,000 passengers, a 7.0% annual increase, makkin it the busiest in Azerbaijan an in the Caucasus region.[2] It is the primar airport servin Azerbaijan. The airport is the hub o Azerbaijan Airlines (the naitional airline o Azerbaijan), Azal Avia Cargo, Buta Airways an Silk Way West Airlines.

The airport wis opened as the "Bina Airport" in 1933 durin the Soviet era, an oreeginally flichts anerly operatit tae ither places in the Soviet Union. The airport wis renamed in 2004 in honor o the former Preses o Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev.[4]
