In geometry, Heron's formula (sometimes cried Hero's formula), named efter Hero o Alexandria,[1] gies the aurie o a triangle bi requirin no arbitrar chyce o side as base or vertex as origin, contrar tae ither formulas for the aurie o a triangle, such as hauf the base times the hicht or hauf the norm o a cross product o twa sides.
