Hawking radiation is black-bouk radiation that is predictit tae be released bi black holes, due tae quantum effects near the event horizon. It is named efter the pheesicist Stephen Hawking, wha providit a theoretical argument for its existence in 1974,[1] an whiles an aa efter Jacob Bekenstein, wha predictit that black holes should hae a finite, non-zero temperatur an entropy.[2]
