The Great Purge or the Great Terror (Roushie: Большой террор) wis a campaign o poleetical repression in the Soviet Union which occurred frae 1936 tae 1938.[1] It involved a lairge-scale purge o the Communist Pairty an govrenment offeecials, repression o peasants an the Reid Airmy leadership, an widespread polis surveillance, suspicion o "saboteurs", imprisonment, an arbitrary executions.[2]
