Gnosticism (frae Auncient Greek: γνωστικός gnostikos, "learned", frae γνῶσις gnōsis, knowledge) is a modren term categorising a collection o auncient releegions whose adherents shunned the material warld – which they viewed as creatit bi the demiurge – an embraced the spiritual warld.[1]
