Gilgamesh (/ˈɡɪl.ɡə.mɛʃ/; 𒄑𒂆𒈦, Gilgameš, oreeginally Bilgamesh 𒄑𒉈𒂵𒈩) is the main character in the Epic o Gilgamesh, an Akkadian poem that is considered the first great wirk o leeteratur,[1]
