Getafe (Spaingie pronunciation: [xeˈtafe]) is a ceety in the sooth o the Madrid metropolitan area, Spain, an ane o the maist populatit an industrialisit ceeties in the aurie. It is hame tae ane o the auldest Spaingie militar air bases an the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Athin the ceety is the Cerro de los Ángeles, or Hill o the Angels, a steid considered the geographical centre o the Iberie Peninsula.[1] Getafe is locatit 13 km sooth o Madrid's ceety centre, athin a flat aurie o Spain's Meseta Central in the Manzanares River basin.
