Object history
Deutsch: Die dreilatzige rote Fahne war die Gerichts- bzw. Blutgerichtsfahne der Tübinger Pfalzgrafen. Sie wird im Kreiswappen in ihrer ältesten Trageart am Fahnenspeer abgebildet, wie sie zur Zeit der Belehnung der Grafen von Tübingen mit der Pfalzgrafschaft üblich war. Die Farben Rot und Silber sind dem Wappen der Grafen von Hohenberg entnommen und sollen an den ehemals hohenbergischen Besitz im heutigen Landkreis erinnern. Das Familienwappen der Pfalzgrafen von Tübingen hatte die rote Fahne auf goldenem Schildgrund dargestellt.
