Nel Settecento Clementina è la principale ritrattista della dinastia sabauda e della nobiltà piemontese che raffigura con grande attenzione per la resa dei materiali e con sapienti tocchi in punta di pennello per dare luce ai particolari. I ritratti dei membri della famiglia reale da lei realizzati vengono inviati alle principali case regnanti europee e donati a nobili, funzionari, chiese e comunità del Regno. Carlo Emanuele III (1701-1773) è qui raffigurato in abito di gala, con il collare dell’ordine equestre dell’Annunziata e le insegne del potere su un cuscino; sulla cappa di velluto rosso ed ermellino appaiono i simboli della dinastia: il nodo, la croce d’argento e l’aquila nera. Prima dell'ingresso in Museo, nel 1895, il dipinto era conservato nei magazzini del Municipio. Nel Museo si conserva anche uno dei primi dipinti di Clementina, il ritratto di Cristina Luigia di Baviera (1722), moglie di Carlo Emanuele III (742/D).
