Sobre los colores de la Bandera como fondo, se superponen tres figuras en forma diagonal. En el centro de ella se encuentra la Pila, monumento Histórico dedicado a los héroes del 7 de agosto de 1.819. En la parte Inferior derecha se halla representada la fruta típica del municipio: "La Chirimoya". En la parte inferior izquierda se halla representada: "La Ganadería por la cabeza de un vacuno y la Agricultura por un campesino". Este fondo se halla enmarcado en bordes y cintas doradas, sobre los cuales sobresalen grabadas sendas espigas que significa la abundancia y producción de nuestras tierras.
Nota: la descripción no corresponde con el modelo provisto por la municipalidad.
