Ernst II, Duke o Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg (30 Januar 1745 – 20 Aprile 1804) wis the reigning Duke o Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg frae 1772 tae 1804. He wis the third but seicont surviving son o Frederick III, Duke o Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg and Luise Dorothea o Saxe-Meiningen. The daith o his aulder brither Frederick in 1756 made him the heir tae the duchy o Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg.
