Ephesus (/ˈɛfəsəs/;[1] Greek: Ἔφεσος Ephesos; Turkis: Efes; ultimately frae Hittite Apasa) wis an auncient Greek ceety[2][3] on the coast o Ionia, three kilometres soothwast o present-day Selçuk in İzmir Province, Turkey.
