Syne the pentose succars arabinose an ribose anly differ bi the stereochemistry at C2′, 2-deoxyribose an 2-deoxyarabinose are equivalent, awtho the latter term is rarely uised acause ribose, nae arabinose, is the precursor tae deoxyribose.
