Dammartin-en-Goële [da.maʁ.tɛ̃.ɑ̃.ɡwal] is a commune in the Seine-et-Marne depairtment in the Île-de-France region in north-central Fraunce. It is aroond 30 kilometre (19 mi) northeast o the centre o Paris.

Reynald I, coont o Dammartin (d. 1227), who wis ane o the coalition crusht bi Keeng Philip Augustus at the battle o Bouvines (1214), left twa co-heiresses, o whae the elder, Maud (Matilda or Mahaut), marriet Philip Hurepel, son o Philip Augustus, an the seicont, Alix, marriet Jean de Trie, in whose line the coonty wis reunitit efter the daith o Philip Hurepel's son Alberic. The coonty passed, throu heiresses, tae the hooses o Fayel an Nanteuil, an in the 15t century wis acquired bi fr (d. 1488), ane o the favorites o Keeng Charles VII, bi his marriage wi Marguerite, heiress o Reynald V o Nanteuil-Aci an Marie o Dammartin. This Antoine de Chabannes, coont o Dammartin in richt o his wife, foucht unner the staundart o Joan o Arc, became a leader o the Ecorcheurs, teuk pairt in the weir o the public weal against Louis XI, an then focht for him against the Burgundians. The collegiate kirk at Dammartin wis foondit bi him in 1480, an his tomb an effigy are in the chancel.
His son, Jean de Chabannes, left three heiresses, o whom the second left a dochter who brocht the county to Philippe de Boulainvilliers, by whose heirs it was sold in 1554 tae the dukes o Montmorency. In 1632 the county was confiscated by Louis XIII and bestowed on the Prince o Condé.
