Cruggleton Kirk

Cruggleton Kirk is in the historic coonty o Wigtounshire an is aboot 750 metres (2,460 ft) wast o the ruins o Cruggleton Castle. It wis established in the early 12t century bi Fergus, Laird o Galloway, an remains the maist complete Romanesque kirk in the area. The kirk wis restored frae a ruined condeetion in the 1890s bi William de B M Galloway (1830-1897) fur the 3rd Marquess o Bute. The kirk is a Category A Leetit biggin. [1] [2]
