Coulter's Candy
"Coulter's Candy", also cried "Ally Bally" or "Ally Bally Bee"[1], is a Scots fowk sang.
The sang wis screivit bi Robert Coultart, umwhile mill-worker in Galashiels[2], in the 1870s tae advertise a hennyseed-flavour candy thit he wuid mak in Melrose an sell aroon the mairkets o Borders touns.[3]
