A cheesel is a tuil wi a chairacteristically shaped cuttin edge (such that wid chisels hae lent pairt o thair name tae a pairteecular grind) o blade on its end, for carvin or cuttin a haurd material such as wid, stone, or metal bi haund, struck wi a mallet, or mechanical pouer.[1]
