Charles Ferdinand d'Artois, Duke o Berry, Grandson o Fraunce (24 Januar 1778 – 14 Februar 1820) wis the third child and youngest son o the future Keeng o Fraunce, Charles X, an his wife, Maria Theresa o Savoy. He wis assassinated at the Paris Opera in 1820 bi Louis Pierre Louvel, an anti-ryal Bonapartist. In Juin 1832, twa years after the overthrow o his faither, Charles X, his widow, Princess Marie Caroline, led a ryalist insurrection in the Vendée in a failed attempt to restore their son, the Coont o Chambord, tae the French throne.
