The Château de Lunéville which haed belonged tae the Dukes o Lorraine since the 13t century, wis rebuilt as “the Versailles o Lorraine” bi Duke Léopold frae 1703 tae 1723, frae designs o Pierre Bourdict an Nicolas Dorbay an then o the architect Germain Boffrand, whose masterwork it became. It became the home o King Stanisław Leszczyński, last duke o Lorraine an Bar. In Januar 2003, a fire destoyed much o the structure but it is being restored. It is sometimes cried the Pailace o Lunéville. an is home o the Musée lorrain a museum.
