The Château de Clagny wis a French country hoose that stood northeast o the Château de Versailles; it wis designed bi Jules Hardouin Mansart for Madame de Montespan atween 1674 and 1680. Although among the most important o the private residences designed bi this great architect, it was demolished in 1769 after years o neglect.
