Caibarién is a municipality an ceety in the Villa Clara province o Cuba.

Caibarien is kent as "La Villa Blanca" (The White Toun) for its sands an beaches. Thay are famous for thair "Parrandas" (Carnivals) alang wi Remedios (the neebouring toun locatit 7 kilometre (4.3 mi) wast) an Camajuani.

On 1834 it wis namit Colonia de Vives, but on 1837 the oreeginal name (Caibarién) wis restored. On 19 September 1873 wis awairdit the veelage title.

In 1878 the toun already haed stores, kirks, schools an newspapers. On October 25 wis foondit the committee o the Cuban Liberal Pairty in Caibarién, an elections war prepared atween the Liberal Pairty an the Constitutional Union.

On 1 Januar 1879 Caibarién emerged as an independent municipality o Remedios an the first ceety council wis established bein it first Mayor Don Hipólito Escobar Martelo frae the Liberal Pairty. On 1891, Laureano López Cosío wis chosen as Mayor.
