Bonnie Tyler (born Gaynor Hopkins; 8 Juin 1951)[2] is a Welsh sangster, kent for her distinctive hasky vyce. She is best kent for her late-70s hits Lost in France and It's A Heartache as weel as her collaborations wi Bat Out of Hell writer and producer, Jim Steinman, which gied her the global nummer 1 hit Total Eclipse of the Heart in 1983 and the sang Holding Out for a Hero, yuised in the film Footloose.
Tyler continues tae record and tour aw ower the warld. Her maist recent album, The Best Is Yet To Come wis released in February 2021. A supportin tour for the album will take place in Europe during 2022-2023.

Tyler wis born in Skewen, near Swansea, in the sooth o Wales, Unitit Kinrich on 8 June 1951. Her date o birth is sometimes fausely gien as 8 June 1953.
