Blood Fire Death
Appearance
Blood Fire Death is the fowert album bi the Swadish baund Bathory. It continued the baund's transition towards mair epic sangwritin, an includes some o the first Viking metal recordins, although it is still maistly black metal.
The leerics tae "The Golden Walls of Heaven" an "Dies Irae" are acrostics: the first letters o each line form phrases, namely "SATAN" (repeatit 8 times) an "CHRIST THE BASTARD SON OF HEAVEN". The leerics tae "For All Those Who Died" wur taken frae a poem bi Erica Jong, first published in her beuk Witches (1981).[1]
The front cover comes frae a paintin bi Peter Nicolai Arbo: Åsgårdsreien (1872).
