A marina is locatit in the port o Batabano (Surgidero de Batabanó). This port is datit back tae the 16t century an functioned as the sooth port o Havana for the coastline navigation tae ither Cuban ceeties afore the railwey connectit aw the kintra in the 19t century. Nouadays is the main port for the communication tae Isla de la Juventud an Cayo Largo del Sur wi ferryboat an passenger regular services, as well as, an important fishin port.

The Batabano cays, developit in the sea sooth o the commonty are pairt o the Canarreos Airchipelago.
