Further modifications hae included multiple chynges tae the placement an nummer o starns (seiven atween 1864 an 2006, aicht frae 2006)[1][2] an inclusion o an optional coat o airms at the upper-left corner.
The seembolism tradeetionally ascribed tae the colors are that the yellae baund staunds for the wealth o the land, the blue for courage, an the reid for the unthirldom frae Spain, or mair succinctly: "gowden" Americae separatit frae bloody Spain bi the deep blue sea.
