Azerbaijan Naitional Academy o Sciences (ANAS) (Azerbaijani: Azərbaycan Milli Elmlər Akademiyası (AMEA)), locatit in Baku, is the main state resairch organisation that conducts resairch an coordinates activities in the fields o science an social sciences in Azerbaijan. It haes a network o scienteefic resairch institutes across the kintra. It wis establisht on 23 Januar 1945 during the Soviet era as the Academy o Sciences o the Azerbaijan SSR.
