Australasia, a region o Oceania, comprises Australie, New Zealand, the island o New Guinea, an neighbourin islands in the Paceefic Ocean. Charles de Brosses coined the term (in French an aa Australasie) in Histoire des navigations aux terres australes[1] (1756).
